I broke my mechanical fuel pump on my 72 Super Beetle so I rebuilt it to this Bravex low pressure pump. It was very easy to install. The pump is quiet but loud enough to be heard before the engine starts. (What I like). You can't hear it when the engine is running. Made several trips, works great. I have used this fuel pump to replace mechanical dirt pumps found on lawn mowers. I mowed with it for about 10 hours, no problem. In fact, the opposite is the case. The lawnmower now works perfectly. I bought this fuel pump for my zero turn lawnmower. I had this problem when the gas tank was about 3 gallons and gravity fed. However, the height of the carburetor on the engine is about 2/3 from the bottom of the tank. So you would be using 1/2 to 1 gallon of gas (mowing about 45 minutes) and the mower would spit and spatter and die like it ran out of gas.
