🍺 Brewer's Best Home Brew Beer Ingredient Kit - 5 Gallon (Mexican Cerveza) for Authentic Beer Enthusiasts Review

My father brews and bottles his beer quite often and I have bought this brand of beer before. So the results weren't the best as it wasn't carbonated, which was pretty disappointing after all the time spent brewing the beer. The review is delayed as he received several beer kits for his birthday and anniversary and the days are a few days apart. I was only recently informed as to how the beer came about.

Took me 1 week to ferment and 2 weeks to post-ferment in a 5g keg. Carbonation with gas, not sugar. This has to be one of the best homemade drinks I've ever made. 8.69% - it's worth it. Only one packet of yeast is included - thought it would be a problem but turned out ok. I did without a sourdough starter because I make sourdough starters with real beer ingredients for good reasons and didn't have time. It worked great.

GREAT taste. unfortunately not enough power. I'm used to making wine so I went with 6 gallons instead of 5. I'm pretty sure I made "light beer". The taste is still great but the punch is gone. I think I registered 4% ABV, which I think is close to what is advertised, but I can't help but think I would have gotten more if I had only done 5 gallons. I'm curious to see how the taste will be different and will therefore order again. Easy for a beginner like me, down to the gals. Spring. giggle
