To be honest it never worked that well from the start. The fan never made steam like it should. The fan stopped completely a little less than a year and a half after installation. But the light still works. I'm here to buy a new different one and thought I'd warn others. It's cheap, but I think there's a reason for that!

Works as expected, no problems with it. The only thing is that it was a bit thinner than the previous line so there is a small gap under the bridge body due to the wiring. So if you make a replacement, make sure you get your measurements right, but that's not the product's fault. Otherwise it works great so far, I will order more.

Installed in a man's rented house, very quiet on the lows and fairly tolerable on the highs. He said installation was relatively easy once he found the right adjustable duct to line up the centered shroud of it (the old fan was a homegrown original and was slightly off center). Beautiful clear, simple design - black simply fades into the background. I will be buying one for my house to replace a 37 year old noisy fan with peeling paint.

product description says to set "at least" 18 inches above range. When installed I had 30 inches. The entire bottom part (filters, light, etc.) is visible from every angle. Not sure what the purpose of the "oblique" filter is. The 30 year old hood he replaced was also very cheap, but the filter lay flat and you couldn't see anything unless you looked under the hood. He was exactly the same height as this Broan. I understand that this is an "economy" model, but it looks very tasteless.

After unboxing it we knew we were going to return it. Yes, it's cheap - because it's cheap. too much plastic for us. If you can afford it, then don't hesitate to take it. Or if you are looking for an RV application or something where weight is a factor. But keep in mind that wanting a better product pays off in the long run. Super fast delivery, ordered on Saturday afternoon and received next Monday at 15:00 😄, the package was intact, so there were no damages at all. I just installed it and it looks very good! The previous set of hoods I had were the exact same model but white and had what appeared to be a vent at the top of the duct which the one I just bought didn't have (so I just gave it a five stars) so I just took it off the old one to use on the new one and everything works great! 😊 Doesn't make any noise…

I know it's an economy hood but it looks good. The most disappointing feature is how loud mine is. It's twice as loud (on quiet) as I expected. When it's high, it's as loud as our vacuum cleaner.
