Love them in Athletic

Great design/comfort and perfect fit. I have had a Ghost 10/11 before and they are at least the same if not more comfortable.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Great arch support

My son has wide feet with a high arch and high instep. He usually has a tendency to twist his ankle (supination). These shoes give him a lot of support and prevent him from rolling over on the outside of his foot. He is very happy with the fit and feel.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Slightly torn

A little hairy inside!

I received my NEW shoes but the insoles look like an animal is nesting in them. Completely covered in animal hair, it seems. Good thing I wear ear plugs so I can throw them away. Otherwise the rest of the shoe looks good and the Brooks Ghosts are always comfortable.

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • Upgradable

Too unstable, too slippery

Because of the extra cushioning and rubber outsole, this shoe is sooooo unstable even when walking. Running gets too out of control and you're bouncing all over the place. They claim to be neutral, but they actually change the way you walk and run. I also tried them for the first time on a rainy day, they were too slippery on concrete and tiles, almost fell off twice. Bottom line these were my first and last Brooks shoes, I sent them back same day.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Broke my Achilles heel.

I have never paid attention to the shoes I wear because I buy shoes purely for aesthetic reasons. I had several shoes from Asics, Nike and NewBalance. I tried this shoe because I heard good reviews of the Ghost 11, but this is by far the worst. I run 4-5 km every day at a brisk pace. I tried this shoe for two days and damaged my Achilles tendon, forcing me to stay in place and rest for two weeks before walking normally again. I'm not sure if it's because my legs are oddly shaped (btw, I've…

Unreal comfort! It's like gliding through the air as you walk.

Based on the YEARS of Asic Nimbus range I think the Streams completely destroy Asics in all categories. I still can't believe how many years I blindly paid $150 a pair for discounted Nimbus quality and completely ignored all Brooks shoes for the same price. I would spend 200€ for these shoes. I'm a tall man with very high arches who needs some cushioning and honestly these are the best shoes I've ever owned. I think I'm a Brooks customer now and I hope they uphold manufacturing standards which…

Ironman 70.3 for shoes

I am training for my second triathlon, Ironman 70.3. I wanted a shoe that would provide cushioning and support without being too heavy for fast work. This shoe has great balance in almost everything. This shoe doesn't necessarily specialize in just one area, but shows its strengths in versatility. This gives you the lightweight and responsive needs for speed work and the support and cushioning you need for long runs. Can other shoes beat the Ghost in each of these categories? Yes, but no other…
