This machine worked fine. My wife enjoyed sewing masks for children and sewing pajamas. After about 100 days of sporadic and light use, the machine stopped working. I took it to a brother's repair center in the area and was told they would not honor the warranty as the 90 days had just expired. It cost us about as much money to repair as it did to buy new. You get what you pay for. I didn't want to spend thousands on a new machine after my previous version broke after 5 years of intensive use. With the exception of the internal metal casing, the entire machine is made from the cheapest and cheapest plastic Brother can find, so it won't last long.
