Waste of money on temperature and humidity

Waste of money. Unreliable and inaccurate depending on where you point it, how far away from the object and what material you are trying to measure the temperature of.

Pros
  • Good product for its price
Cons
  • Modern

So far so good, the best in thermometers

We bought this unit to measure the temperature of industrial equipment. Haven't used it yet but the pyrometer looks as advertised. The only problem was that the battery was dead when it arrived. When we replaced it, it immediately caught fire.

Pros
  • Fingers crossed
Cons
  • Functionality

A complete waste of money. It only reads its temperature!

Accuracy. This software doesn't have that. Ease of use of course, pull the trigger and it will tell you what temperature it is. Value... is a piece of plastic with a battery worth it? Does not do as described so I would say it is of no value.

Pros
  • Robust surface
Cons
  • Low repairability

Inconsistent and questionable readings

I bought this to read melting points. While the device provides readings that I'm confident are accurate, there are many readings that just don't make sense. That is: molten aluminum, melting at a temperature of about 1200 degrees, appears only in the temperature range of 700-800.

Pros
  • Regular price
Cons
  • Available in white only

Accuracy (see device instructions to ensure accuracy)

This purchase was the result of extensive research. I narrowed it down to this one and one that looked surprisingly similar. It became an easy choice. There are no problems with the flow meter. Easy to use. Follow the instructions. If you're having trouble reading carefully, go back and read the instructions again.

Pros
  • Temperature & Humidity
Cons
  • Sparse instructions

I wish it would do what it's supposed to do

The display is very nice. Navigating the display is easy. I have this for measuring the temperature of electrical connections and bearings. I work in a foundry where iron can get up to 3200 degrees Fahrenheit so I thought it would be a good idea to also check the temperature of the iron which is said to be between 2400 and 2700 degrees Fahrenheit. went into it. Milwaukee showed it at 240 and this one showed 60 at 110. Not very decisive in pace and way below what it should be. Now that I knew…

Pros
  • Thermometer
Cons
  • Unsure

After 999 degrees, zero must be added to the readings.

Instructions are not complete, there are no instructions to tell the user that after 999 degrees Fahrenheit the display only shows 3 digits not four. In other words, the value 112 is actually 1120 degrees. It took us several hours to figure it out and a useless, expensive phone call to China. Also in the review you ask questions about the accuracy, how can anyone confirm the accuracy. The instruction manual is poorly written. I really think the instrument could be a good buy if it is really…

  • Infrared Thermometer
