Perfect over vinyl siding

My brother in law introduced us to them. A clever way to keep your new outdoor lighting hanging straight and correct. And you can paint to match or contrast with the trim! So happy to find!

Pros
  • Industrial & Scientific
Cons
  • Newer model could have been chosen

Matches my aluminum siding better than my vinyl siding.

Looks good. It seems you can punch out a circle or rectangle to accommodate the junction box (not sure). I have 2 different types of trim, newer vinyl trim on the side panels and old aluminum trim on the back, this definitely matches the profile of the old aluminum trim. Newer vinyl siding has a straight slope and then a steep slope compared to aluminum siding which has a fairly constant slope. I've attached pictures, the ones that look tighter are aluminum panels.

Pros
  • Hydraulics, Pneumatics and Plumbing
Cons
  • Available in white only

"Snap-on " is a total misnomer - drilling is still required

There are no instructions on the internet for installing this type of vinyl siding bracket and after spending an hour and a half trying to find it I am now in. Totally confident that this clip on tongue of ring is done. The improvement to this product is that you don't cut a massive fastener-sized hole in the fairing, but you still drill holes to screw in your fasteners if they aren't already there. Ultimately, I'd rather use it than not, but I'm honestly pissed at the intentionally misleading…

Pros
  • Mounting Brackets
Cons
  • Expensive
