Bernat 166031-31412 Softee Baby Yarn - Ombres in Lovely Pink Flannel Shade Review

This yarn appears to have an uneven strand bind which means some parts of the ball are thicker and softer than others. I also came across a skein that was not solid but was knit halfway through the skein. In general, the baby blanket I made seems to be soft, and I cannot say that the above inconsistencies exist in this product.

This is my second attempt to contact the seller about the yarn. The product contains many pieces of yarn that are frayed, which is why I have to cut the pieces of yarn and parts that I knit. I am very disappointed in the quality of this product. I have used Bernat yarn many times before this is very disappointing. The first attempt sent on 11/28/20 received no reply. I am writing again today to see what explanations/corrections they have to offer.

Just to be clear, I can't knit and I can barely knit baby blankets. But every time someone I know has a baby, I give them a handmade blanket because those are things they can use for a long time and usually keep. This is for my granddaughter in May. This is double crochet with a jump between each stitch so the blanket isn't too warm for a spring baby and that's how the colors came out when it was finished.
