Sugar N Cream Great yarn (if you know what I mean :)

Bought for a friend who wanted his favorite colors. Things made were winners! They are easy to work with, they stain quickly (if washed according to directions etc.), add some fabric softener :)

Pros
  • Great overall specs
Cons
  • Weight

Okay, but not what I need.

I wanted 100% cotton yarn for knitting kitchen towels. It's been years since I've used this cotton. Back then, this yarn was good because there was no choice. I have found that I can no longer use this yarn. He's too fat. I'm going back to dishie yarn. It is thinner but creates a finer fabric. I like the bright colors on Sugar n Cream, but for my taste this is a bulkier or heavier weight worsted yarn. for knitting shawls with knitting needles or crochet.

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • High Price

corresponds to color batch no. s

So I bought a prepackaged yarn. When I was making my project with the "striped" skein, the first skein ran out (red and bright white) so I started with the second skein (blue) and when the white one came IT IS NOT AS WHITE AS THE FIRST slate . I make rag and potholder sets - made a rag and started with a potholder and now they don't match so the whole set is a mess. You would think that if the skeins were in a prepackaged kit the color batches would be tested so my whites would be just as…

Pros
  • The best
Cons
  • The packaging is ugly
