I just installed mine and I had the same problem. Just push the inner tab a little with a powerful flathead screwdriver and it works fine, just needs a little tweaking my looks great and works now.

Purchased to fit my Bull BBQ fridge, grill, door, etc. Opener does not work .Open the bottle horizontally and the beer explodes every time.stop using it and spend $70 or whatever I paid.Disappointing for a brand I (WAS) was happy with.

Wow! A great brand makes the worst bottle opener ever. I wish I knew how shit it is before I paid for it and installed it. You have to turn the bottle over to open it and then it explodes every time. I installed it correctly. It's garbage. But it looks nice.

Thing doesn't work. As with other reviewers, the bottle has to be at least ground level for the bottle cap to snap open, and when you open the bottle the beer squirts everywhere. Who designed this junk and who tested it? The bad news is I installed this opener in a built in stone grill cabinet with natural stone cladding so removing and replacing would be a real job and very expensive. a warranty claim, but based on other customer comments about Bull's customer service I'm not sure if it will…
