I can only speak for myself. I have a second mobile studio on MACBOOK. I've hooked up a lot of MIDI keyboards and drum machines, what I really wanted to look at was the idea of external power on the side and USB power. This alone is great for a musician or someone who uses multiple connections as it keeps everything stable thanks to the extra USB power delivery. You can connect via Thunderbolt, USB-C or USB 3.0/3.1.

This USB hub is large and easy to use with my Macbook Pro. I can connect a monitor, USB sticks and a hard drive. The USB hub's case looks very thin and structured. It feels like a matte texture in the hand, which is very good. Easy for me to connect different devices. Although the price of this product is a bit high, its case and quality are quite good. Good hub, works fine. At the moment there are no problems with it. I liked that it has a USB-C adapter and power cord. However, I'm not sure why the power cord is plugged into a Micro-USB to USB-A port when most new cables and devices plug into a USB-A to USB-C power adapter. It couldn't manage even 1 external hard drive even if nothing else was connected. It took several restarts of my computer for all components to be recognized, but not all are recognized on every restart. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES should you purchase this product. It looks well made and polished but it is flawed. I bought this converter in May and after just a month of use the problems started. At first I thought it was my hard drive (for music) that was disconnected from my laptop for music production, but then I realized it was actually the USB ports on this product. Well I found out too late. While I was working on an urgent work order, the port disconnected my second hard drive (my life's work)

After trying 2 other/similar hubs I finally decided to try this BYEASY hub and I'm glad I did. One of the others had "weak/wobbly" connections, as if the USB ports were too big to hold onto.
