Seems to work best with replacement parts

I replaced the original engine air filter with this on my 2010 Honda Fit Sport and it seems to be working. The price was way better than the dealers or Sears wanted. I replaced it along with the cabin filter (TYC 800125P Honda Fit Replacement Cabin Filter) at the same time and it took less than 10 minutes. The dealer asked $140, Sears asked $60. This is how I become a big DIY fan.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Has problems

Perfect fit for my 2009 Honda Fit

I bought this from Revain as my local Autozone wanted $28 for the exact same filter. Arrived in 2 days and I installed it in less than 2 minutes. My original air filter that came with the car was pretty dirty (about 28,000 miles I've driven) so I'm glad I finally replaced it. This new air filter was a perfect fit and installation was a breeze. I will definitely be returning to Revain when the time comes for new replacement parts.

Pros
  • Much good vibes
Cons
  • Not sure

Air filters aren't anything special and I generally find them hard to screw up. Fram does this filter just as well as any other unless you need to max out the power and use K&N or something like that. But what do you expect from a quality air cleaner in the 2013 HondaFit: throughput compared to the Corvette? This air filter will do. Check every 6 months, it may not be necessary to replace more than once a year unless driving in dusty or muddy conditions. like expensive Motorcraft filters of the

Pros
  • It's Amazing
Cons
  • Upgradeable

Easy maintenance work for DIY enthusiasts.

FRAM offers peace of mind! This filter looks better than the factory installed one. After watching a few installation videos I was confident that I would install it myself rather than pay a dealership to do the work. He made himself comfortable. I'm so glad the original filter was replaced because when it was removed it had a 2" x 3" piece of insulating material on it. Maybe that's why I sneezed and sniffed in the car.

Pros
  • 12,000 mile oil change intervals prevent loss of acceleration and power and improve overall performance

Get it, save big or give it away Jiffy Lube

Rating for this filter is the same as for cabin filters, do yourself a favor and buy this, or the right filter for your Automobile . Car, read the manual, or if you're like me, watch YouTube to find out how to install it and save yourself the $50+ that Jiffy Lube will charge you for the filter change. Subscribe to this and save every 6 months if you can and you'll save even more. You will not regret it! Stop paying for this basic car maintenance task.

Pros
  • Provides double engine protection

Fuel economy is lower than the OEM filter

As mentioned in several other reviews, I've recently noticed a 5-10% reduction in my Fit's fuel economy. I figured it might be my worn/under-inflated tires, but when things didn't improve after the replacement I started looking at other factors. I use an app (FuelLog) to track my gas mileage and expenses and when I traced the mpg graph back to 'fall' I noticed that it coincided with my air filter change. It may be a coincidence, but I think next time I'll spend a few bucks more on an OEM filter

Pros
  • Instructions and packaging images provide clear installation instructions

  • Very expensive
