The magnetic clasp itself is pretty good but the screws provided are too big making installation difficult. Luckily I replaced some of the old latches and used the screws from the old kit which were a bit thinner making them much easier to install and line up correctly.

Bought these to replace my parents' blind magnets. They are not as strong as those being replaced. I would say the ones on them are too strong and they need a bit more power to have perfect power. But it works and appears to be well built and would probably be perfect for cabinets and sideboards.

I bought these for large but light wood doors on a storage closet. They were easy to install and the price was low, but you get what you pay for. They keep the door closed, but the magnet isn't very strong, so I installed two latches on the door. Even with two deadbolts there is almost no resistance when opening the door. I would recommend them for very small doors like the first aid kit, but if you're doing a larger project you might want to invest in something heavier.

These latches were exactly what I was looking for to close some kitchen cupboards but the screws provided are of very poor quality. Two of the first 4 screws I tried to use broke in half when I hand tightened them with a screwdriver. The screws are tiny but I drilled a pilot hole and they came off anyway. These clasps are better than I expected. I was able to easily fix a couple of old cabinets with magnetic latches that broke in a move a few months ago. Removed old locks and installed new ones. I was excited that they came with lots of screws. I pre-drilled my holes with the smallest bit possible and used them with great success. They supplied the wrong screws and the heads are sticking out of the firing pin. So it depends on how strong the magnets hold. If the magnetic part hits the extended screw head, the holding force is weak. However, if you are lucky and the magnet piece gets caught between the protruding screw heads, you will have too much holding power and the cabinet door will be difficult to pull out.
