Works unstably with Mikrotik CSS106-5G-1S with latest SwOS (2.12)

My Mikrotik CSS106-5G-1S keeps freezing and losing connection; The RJ45 needs to be removed from the SFP adapter, reseated, replaced, and then the router works again for a while until it fails again.

Pros
  • Computers and accessories
Cons
  • There are errors

Works great with Netgear switches

Bought to use as a dedicated gigabit uplink between my Netgear GS324TP switch and a TP-Link AX1800 router and it works great for the purpose. $20 for a GbE SFP is a great price considering how much Cisco and other brands charge for the same thing.

Pros
  • Networking products
Cons
  • Quality

Not stable with Mikrotik CSS106-5G-1S with latest SwOS (2.12)

My Mikrotik CSS106-5G-1S keeps crashing and losing connection; The RJ45 needs to be removed from the SFP adapter, reinserted, replaced, and then the router works again for a while until it fails again.

Pros
  • Low Power Low EMI RJ45 SFP Module; Hot-swappable with advanced ESD protection
Cons
  • Compatibility

Works like any other

SFP to RJ45 later, based on my experience anyway. Also works on the SFP+ port. The only possible problem is when the hardware expects a certain speed, e.g. B. 10 Gbit/s, and it is connected to 1 Gbit/s. In this case you may need to set the speed manually in the hardware, but this option is not always available. Likely SFP is rarely used for anything other than 1GB, so problems are unlikely.

Pros
  • Backwards compatible with 10/100 ethernet modes
Cons
  • I will write

Affordable transceiver

This is a really good RJ-45 transceiver for SFP port. Tested on TP-LINK ER7206. This allowed me to use my SFP port for the WAN port and free up one of the RJ-45 ports for multi-WAN uplink to the ISP. This option also eliminates the need to add an additional RJ-45 to fiber optic converter device, which also requires power. It makes things easier and easier. My only complaint/minor is that it feels warm and sticks out like a thumb. However, the performance has never suffered. I don't know about…

Pros
  • Transmission distance up to 100m for 1000BASE-T Gigabit Ethernet over Cat5e cable
Cons
  • Some difficulties
