I just upgraded my graphics card but the new card only supports Displayport or HDMI. My DELL U2713HM supports full resolution over DVI-D, not over HDMI. (another displayport was used via a laptop). First I tried a cheaper adapter (BENFEI DisplayPort to DVI DVI-D Single Link Adapter), it didn't deliver the maximum resolution. So the device does it immediately.

The goods are counterfeit. This and every "active" "two-channel" adapter has the same shape. They are all from the same manufacturer and don't actually support dual-link DVI. Basically they used a chip that doubled the speed at which data could be sent over a single link DVI, which in theory would give you the data rate of a dual link.
