This device is great for wired internet with Firestick or Fire TV. Used with USB OTG 2.0 host cable and Sabernet 2.0 4-port USB hub. There are no issues with buffering at all. Great device and half the price of the wired Revain device. Plus, with additional USB ports, you can connect a keyboard and add a flash drive, or try the Flirc device with your Logitech all-in-one remotes. Really worth the money!

later For my purposes, USB 2.0 to Ethernet adapters from Cable Matters are a great way to connect any Windows device without a built-in Ethernet port (or one that doesn't work) to a wired one connector to connect network. It's plug and play in the truest sense of the word. I plug it in and after a few seconds it's working (at least on Windows 7, 8 and 10). The drivers are there (I'm guessing they're stored in the internal flash memory in the device itself, but it happens so fast you'd hardly…

Great for big Chromebook meetings

Definitely worth the money! I had to buy these for my kids for their Chromebooks because they couldn't maintain a good connection for Zoom meetings. After getting them and connecting directly via ethernet, they haven't had any problems yet. Definitely a great alternative to using Wi-Fi.

A lightning storm caused a power surge on my phone and ethernet lines and my ethernet port was down. It was a quick and easy fix. My biggest complaint is the noticeable drop in speed between this connection and the ethernet port on my motherboard. It could very well be because my computer is old enough to only have USB 2.0; maybe it would be the same as a USB 3.0 port on the motherboard. I also can't figure out how to not put this device to sleep or at least not detect it after a reboot. I went

Simple solution to connect to ethernet network

After a very strong lightning strike we lost all our network connections (routers, switches and NICs working with CAT-5e in desktop connected to computers). ). I then decided to use them as detachable Ethernet ports. They install quickly on Win7. The good news is that they work and are inexpensive. The downside is that they're 10/100 speeds, not gigabit.

  • Great for me

  • I don't remember but something happened
