Terrible hub for sharing Ethernet

This hub is an absolute disaster. It promised to share Ethernet connections between computers, but it never worked properly. As my tests showed, the hub could only handle a single device at a time, leaving all of my other computers disconnected. The worst part is that the construction is cheap and flimsy, making it feel like it would break any moment. I would not recommend this hub to anyone.

Pros
  • None
Cons
  • Can only handle one device at a time, cheap construction

Works great if you know what it's for

I have a Category 5e cable from my garage to my first floor where there is internet and a Category 5e cable from my garage to my second floor. If I need wired points at both locations then I need to have a router in the garage. This is certainly doable with Unifi USG. And then set up WiFi in both places. But instead I have a Google Wi-Fi device on the first floor. So I use this to connect WAN and LAN with the same cable. If I buy Internet over 100Mbps I will change my mind but so far it's…

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Buy a gigabit switch instead

Tried to split 1 cable into 2 outputs for 2 gaming systems. Purchased additional patch cords and connectors as instructed. 0 connection via splitter. All plugs and connection cables have been tested and work perfectly. Some people seem to have luck with this and some have the same problem as me. Just buy a gigabit switch. If you buy the extra cables and connectors you need, the price will be almost the same, and a gigabit switch can run 4 outputs at a much faster speed. However, Revain was very
