Description of CACPS

CACPS is a Window-based, user-friendly software tool that will significantly expand the capabilities of states and localities to analyze the benefits of various air pollution control scenarios and select and implement those that not only address traditional air pollutants, such as ozone precursors like nitrogen oxides and volatile organic compounds, carbon monoxide, sulfur oxides and particulate matter, but also greenhouse gases (GHGs), which cause global warming.

Best emission tracking software for anyone who is looking for accurate data

The best part about this system are all its features for every kind of pollutant your state or city has! We can easily track each source by using our own criteria on what percentage it contributes in total emissions. This makes tracking easier with less mistakes being made since you do know exactly where they contribute from their individual sources. I dislike how difficult it was at first because the GUI isn't very clear so most people who haven't used other systems before have trouble finding

Very helpful tool especially when dealing

CACPS helped us analyze our source data and create our baseline scenario for the EPA region we were tasked with representing in our modeling efforts. The implementation was seamless since it integrated with our internal model development systems. We were able to easily incorporate additional emission sources into our future simulations. It was nice that they provided training sessions during each phase of project implementation so our team could learn how to use the system efficiently and…

Great tool that is user friendly as well!

This program can be used by all types of agencies including non-profit organizations for grant writing purposes or compliance with EPA regulations. It has helped me in many ways from determining emissions reductions needed to meet state requirements to tracking actual performance against targets. I have been able to use this product for my own work at both the county level and state level, where we are trying to track our progress towards meeting goals set forth by our State Air Quality…

  • The abilityto view data across multiple counties/regions is great! Also it allows you access information without having an internet connection (in remote areas) which gives us tremendous flexibility when working remotely as well because there isn't always reliable wifi connectivity out here.the software works seamlessly even though disconnected i love that about these tools!! :)
