Cacti is an open-source, web-based network monitoring and graphing tool designed as a front-end application for the open-source, industry-standard data logging tool RRDtool. Cacti allows a user to poll services at predetermined intervals and graph the resulting data.

The most flexible, complete and user friendly tool to get insights about performance & availability

It's great that it can be used both via Web GUI or CLI (command line interface). Easy setup of various sensors/hosts within your environment with just few clicks in its graphical installer wizard. Great support from cactus team when you run into any issues - they respond super quick! I wish we could export our graphs into some other software like Tableau / Excel which would solve one more issue but then again this might not work if there are no APIs available yet so well worth exploring…

Pros
  • Also, ability create dashboard views through web guis makes is very accessible solution across entire IT infra management teams without requiring much technical knowledge about script writing & deployment

Good Solution for Network Management

This program has been very useful in our organization because it provides us with quick access of all metrics that are important from different networks which we can easily monitor them using this software without any hassle thanks beyouse! Nothing really dislike about cactus but I think there should have more options when you want too see graphs or charts other than pie chart only like linechart etc...
