Good accuracy but cheaply made

Cheaply made but very cool concept. If it was made better I would give 5 stars. I hope they improve this. The first one I got had the power button not working. The 2nd (replacement) works, but for some reason the main button gets stuck in the header. It's only good when strapped to my car. The maximum volume can be difficult to hear due to wind or background noise. Accuracy is good, all functions work.

On the fence with this

Not a bad product! But. The power button is in a crappy spot, so turning it off and on can be a bear if you have big hands. The touchpad is super sensitive. The charging cable cover is difficult to open and I'm sure it will break as it's hard plastic. It would be better if the lid was rubber. This gives you the distance from the ball to the green. Sometimes it registers a hole and also skips a hole. Turned it off and on again and it worked.

This is my 2nd VC - Golf Course GPS Navigator

My 1st is about 5 years old and the battery doesn't last more than 4 hours which isn't always enough on a rainy day. The old man was so pleased that he decided to buy a replacement. I'm a little worried about accuracy as there is a hole on the course where I usually play where the fairway marker reads 125 yards to the center of the green, the VC4 reads the same but the green is from the mark with at least 25 meters elevation uphill, although VC4 says that incline is allowed on this course.

It works when you don't want it

Do not purchase this item. If I press the button once, the distance repeats 3 or 4 times. Sometimes, in the middle of my swing, he tells me he's measuring the distance of the shot, even though I didn't ask him to. There's no other way to stop it than turning it off, which I did multiple times on my last lap. This creates an additional distraction that is very annoying. It seemed like a good idea and most of the feedback was positive. This isn't one of them. Stay away from this article.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other picks

They don't answer the phone and don't call back.

I have been using Voice Cadys for many years. Broke off a clip on my last one and bought a new VC4 with a bevel. Worked well for several rounds. If it was attached to my hat on a windy day, my hat would fly off and land on the grass and the VC4 would stop working. Called every day for a week to see if I could fix it and always got voicemail. Left messages for tech support, general mailbox and even tried bulk inquiries and no one called me back. Thank you Revane for returning the item even…

Good upgrade! Best GPS on the golf course

We have several Voice Caddy 200s but we think it's worth the price. This new VC 4 has a much better satellite connection. We didn't lose a signal for the first few laps as the VC 200 kept looking for a course. Battery life has increased by a factor of 3, which is good for 54 holes instead of 18. Being able to get front, back and center pin spacing was useful, and it has a nice feature to measure shot travel length. We find this useful when honing iron removal. A small issue for us was the belt…

Problems with my Voice Caddy VC4

This is my second Voice Caddy and I was very interested in the incline distance. I really like my old model, so I treated myself to the new SC4. I played a few rounds with the device and it worked great. After my 5th round I started having problems with the device causing the button to get stuck when pressed causing the voice to repeat the distance and annoying some of the golfers around me. Secondly, I had major problems with turning off the device, I had to hold down the button to turn off…
