They played a big part in reducing the amount of heat that passed through the skylights in our RV. They are easy to install and look like they came with an RV. If you want to stay cool, this works great!

There is a skylight just above the bed in our camper that has been driving my husband and I insane for YEARS. I don't know why we didn't buy it sooner but it was worth the money. Super easy to install and very easy to use. We love it and I can only recommend it.

I bought two of these lampshades to keep out the light coming in through the skylights in our RV bedroom. They work very well. I wish they had made one about 8 inches longer to cover the skylight in the shower. This would reduce much of the heat entering the interior when direct sunlight passes through them. Like the others mentioned here, they do not completely cover the hole. I think someone who didn't understand RVs measured the inside of the opening. The fabric hangs down slightly and leaves a slight gradient. Second, the fabric is still somewhat transparent. Do they work at all? Of course. And I use mine. Making them great would be easy. It's not 100% but still better than using tape and cardboard which fall off in the middle of the night waking you up and defeating the purpose of darkening the room.
