    Works well with hydration packs

I use this on my REI Flash 22 (22 liter) backpack. It works great for this backpack when cycling in the rain. The only thing I don't like is that the buckle for the elastic strap is at the very bottom of the bag and presses against my back when cycling.

    The end result was unexpected.

I tested it on my last trip. Over the course of my 186 miles the weather kept changing and I had to take advantage of it. The result is a wet backpack. I am totally disappointed in this product. The size is suitable for a MULE backpack. The letters are dark gray, non-reflective.

    Solid product in harsh conditions.

Purchased 2 years ago. I wear them all year round over my backpack when I ride my motorcycle to work, no matter what the weather. I've used this in rainwater and we only get the backpack's straps (and a bit where they touch the back). The content has never been damaged. Excellent case, the only thing I would like are reflective elements - strips or solid material.

Does the job when you need it

The lid seems to do the trick. It fits on the mule backpack and keeps the main parts of the backpack dry in moderate rain. Parts of the tarpaulin still get wet and if you have any electronics in heavy rain you should still use a stuff sack but I wouldn't go outside in this weather anyway. Worth the price for the protection and security it offers. I don't have to worry if it rains before skiing and it's worth bringing it to me.

Just buy it. on Hydration Packs

I bought this for my Camelback HAWG. It's packed with first aid supplies, bike tools, zip ties, braces, dog treats (in case those baddies want to come after you!), truck keys, and plenty of other useful items. and I am definitely waterproof. When it rains unexpectedly, I'm happy to have this in my backpack to protect the goodies inside from camelbak. It's so cheap, so just buy one. You know it will save you headaches in the future the first time you need it.

    A must for your camelbak.

I bought a large/XL raincoat for my 100oz CamelBak Alpine Explorer backpack and it works well and is thick plastic with a cord to tie around the bag. There is also a velcro and cord to attach it to the top of the camelbak to keep it from falling off. The only thing that confuses me a bit is the bright yellow color. Sure it's great for hiking, but I'd like something a little more subdued. The CamelBak Tactical Rain Cover has a muted color on the back of a bright orange but costs twice as much…

    Usual excellent Camelbak quality!

I received the Camelbak Medium/Large rain cover and it fits perfectly in my fully loaded Maxpedition Condor-II backpack. It fits snugly and won't shrink if you don't want it to. It hasn't torn from stones or sharp edges. It's incredibly lightweight and lets you stand out when hiking or riding in inclement weather. Be simple and to the point. this item is unbeatable for the price. UPDATE: I bought a second one because I was tired of moving it from one pack to another. Great for hiking, but I…

    Great price and functionality!

It's rainy season and I thought my trusty backpack was waterproof, but I was wrong. Got really wet. On my next rough ride, I tried a smaller case without the matching latches. On the second trip, the entire coating was torn off during a heavy downpour. All of my contents got wet and luckily my laptop was locked in the office. The Camelbak case is different. It attaches securely to the shoulder strap, slips over the backpack, and wraps tightly around the bottom of the backpack. It's not going…
