📸 Enhanced Safety with Ford Rear View Camera for F150/F250/F350/F450/F550 Review

Just what I need for my 2005 F150. Looks real and gives me a great view of the hitch and what's behind me. Some reviews have complained about the viewing angle when attaching a pendant, but I'm fine with that. I have a bullet on the receiver mount, not the bumper. Maybe that's her problem. I often pull trailers and can put the ball right under the clutch with no problem.

I bought this device about a year ago. The camera and doorknob function worked well. Until the handle lock broke (see photo) and I couldn't open the tailgate anymore. I had to buy an entire block to replace a broken doorknob. Unfortunately, there is no way to just buy a defective part, so expect a replacement for this device in a short time. The camera, rig etc are all fine but the cheap plastic construction makes them a weak link.

I'm really surprised how well this product works! Lots of wires. Cables are designed to provide flexible installation options. The camera is positioned at such an angle that the bumper is visible, which is very convenient. The pen appears to be of the same quality as the original, but only time will tell! Edit: Previous negative post at the end. Made the replacement back and the replacement works great. The installer charged $40 for a replacement, so that was an additional cost. The reason I'm giving three stars now is because of the issues with shipping the defective product and the additional cost of removing and replacing the defective product. This camera works, but not what I was hoping for. The OEM lock didn't fit the shoulder of the handle, I had to get a dremel, measure and cut more to make the locking lever fit on the handle. I wasn't expecting great visibility like other cars due to the price, but I was hoping the field of view would be better.
