I want to say thank you to the other reviews on here. On this point, it confidently helped me. I have a 2003 BMW X5. It had a problem stopping at one point. Look for an engine trouble code that indicates a faulty camshaft position sensor. It differs slightly from the original, but fits well. This sensor helped me save money.

Replaced this camshaft position sensor about a month ago and only drove 400 miles and the sensor didn't last long unfortunately it just didn't work for me before I was able to request a refund. Save yourself the time-consuming duplication of work and simply use an original BMW camshaft sensor for this part. I drive a 2000 BMW 323i, it drives hard 💪🦍

My 99 E39 528iT doesn't like $18 CPS and neither does your BMW. I can't even reset the code from this POS sensor. I knew better, but I took the risk anyway. Now the equation of $18 vs. $118 becomes $18 + $118 + 1 hour of my time. Buy a BMW or at least an OEM for electrical parts. The only positive thing is that it's so cheap I won't even return it but shame on whoever made the damn thing. Seriously, find something else in your life other than garbage production.

Purchased sensor for BMW Z3 3.0l. 2001. The sensor housing is larger in diameter than the stock BMW sensor; but it can be easily inserted into the inlet. Remove the negative side of the battery, then remove any necessary parts to gain access to the sensor location. I removed the sensor and installed a new sensor. Negative cable connected, then cleared the codes in obd2. The two codes I got with the old sensor were camshaft position sensor and O2 sensor bank 1. I'm 20 miles away now and no codes
