Sensor NOT WORKING!

I bought this sensor for our BMW 318i, S Series - E46 and when we fitted the sensor the computer immediately gave the following error code (P0340) The camshaft sensor is defective.

This is a reliable seller from a person who owns many BMWs, I would buy from them again

I replaced it and the car drives much better, shifts are not stiff and the idle speed is where it should be. The sensor is also made of high-quality material.

One month later, STILL WORKING FLAWLESSLY

The "CAM" camshaft position sensor remediated my persistent error code, which began several months after I made a similar replacement a year ago. Before installing a new sensor (both a year ago and now) there were practically no symptoms from the ENGINE, except for a slight roughness when starting the engine. I would never have known about it if it weren't for the "Check Engine" display and associated code. My car: 2002 BMW 525i (M54 engine).
