Excellent set. Made great candles. I ordered more wax. I used 3 pounds. Wax for 2 pillar candles, 3 vows and 12 tea lights. The pound that comes with this set is probably the equivalent of around 6 votive candles. Forms are simply released.

Bought for my son (13 years old, 8th grade). He had already made candles, but he needed this jar, and for a few dollars more there were smaller molds, a thermometer, and a few other items that he also used. Nice set at a good price. Just note that you still need to place the pitcher in another pot of water. Do not place the pitcher alone on the stove.

I think the kit is probably worth what I paid but the picture is NOT what is in the kit. Easy to use. Mine came with 3 metal votives, not the plastic ones pictured (I don't care, although I cut myself on the votive; I should probably sand the edges so I don't do it again). A pound of cereal made 4 very full 4 ounce stein glass candles and about 2/3 the vow. The instructions were in French and English. I used clothespins over the votive molds and mason jars to keep the wick upright and centered. Now we light stein glass candles and they work great and look very clean.

Kit to get you started This kit consists of about 6 votive candles. I had an orange cube but ended up using red chalk to match the scent (perfume sold separately). I'm glad I ordered the additional consumables. I really enjoyed making candles and this kit gives me a good start. I use a candle making kit to recycle some big old candles that burned in the middle and were unusable. I didn't use the candle wax that came with it. The pot works very well as a steamer in the large pot of water I used. The size was perfect. I didn't really need a thermometer when I started melting the wax. So when I received it, the thermometer at the bottom was broken; However, due to an easily replaceable part, I had no need to return it - the pot has a small dent, but it's on top and still stands right - everything else is checked correctly and "dent" is free xD for beginners I'm just admitting three stars because no instructions are included - if you want to try this you'll need to get the basic candle making instructions elsewhere in advance.
