Not recommended for soy wax candles

I would not recommend this candle color. It's more like concentrated acrylic paint. Break all my candles I probably should have tested first and only made 1 candle, but I was backordered on a few orders, I went ahead and made a batch. I've been making candles for over 7 years and this gives me problems from start to finish, namely test candles not burning properly. The colored pieces didn't melt properly. I thought they were concentrated and I had to add them to see the bright yellow color. To…

Pros
  • 0.17-0.3 ounces of colorant per pound of candle paste is required to fully color the candle paste.
Cons
  • This makes me angry

The color melts INSTANTLY and the colors are AMAZING!

These wax color chips are PERFECT for me! I make custom paraffin candles in the shape of pyramid columns with feathers. I completely melted 1 pound of wax at 185 degrees. Then I added 0.8 grams of lemon green wax color to the melted wax. The wax chips melted ON CONTACT with the wax. I don't know what temperatures other people think their wax melts at or if they get the same product as me. Because I had no problems with my wax colors. I broke the pieces of wax paint into several small pieces…

Pros
  • Dyes dissolve best between 167 and 185°F. - Once added to the wax, stir gently for at least 2-3 minutes

Maybe someone can help me with my candle problem?

Let me give you some information. I use Candlewic brand tealight cups: 1/2 inch high and 3/4 in diameter, aluminum. Soy wax Candlescience Ecosoya CB Advanced. Candlescience Eco 1 1" tealight wicks with reeds pre-attached. The last color I buy here at the Candle Shop. So I'm not sure why color wax seems to be rejected. When I use blue dye the wax seems to separate from the dye a bit "When I light a candle, the puddle on the candle snuffs the wick. If I don't pour wax while the candle is burning,

Don't use it unless you need candles that don't burn.

Well. I own a candle shop and have been making palm wax candles for a while. I like the look of this dye as it gives the wax a nice opaque color. It's definitely not like any dye I've used and I was impressed with it. So I made some nice candles with my new color, only to get a call saying someone's candle keeps going out after a few minutes. After several tests I found that after about 15 minutes the wick clogs and stops burning. I also use wooden wicks which should be a lot less prone to…

Nice but something goes wrong with shuffling

So we're giving 4 stars because I'm not sure if they screwed up or I screwed up. I'm new to candle making so this could be me. They produced beautiful colors but they were sooooo hard to melt and even when most of it melted I still had small pieces at the bottom of the jars and one day they floated to the top. I just can't mix everything. Now I admit I'm terrible, measure and test and wait so I don't always know how much I'm using and on what, I just pick what looks like the right color and…
