Used on Talon 3 for 1.125-1.5 " upgrd tapered front fork

Used this to mount a 1-1/2" Suntour SR straight tube coil fork on my 2016 Giant Talon 3 to replace I switched to a Suntour Raidon air fork with a 1-1/8" tapered tube. The EC40/44 was perfect for my needs and was easier to install than I thought after watching a few YouTube videos.

Pros
  • Heavy duty sealed black oxide coated bearings
Cons
  • I'm writing back

Probably the most economical headset in the world.

Yes there are much better and more expensive headsets out there but I think this is the ideal price and quality level. CK and this headset's big brother have been heavily redesigned and you're paying for it. It's not necessary unless you want the fancy factor or underwater riding. The 40 series has more than enough seals for the daily commute. I love this series.

Pros
  • Heavy duty steel crowns
Cons
  • Only available in white

. If you have a straight fork all you need is the Cane Creen BAA0463A and this headset. Those of you who have rigid bikes with a straight fork and a 44mm head tube can now use modern suspension forks AND put the rigid fork back if you wish. I did exactly that for my Surly Karate Monkey to install the Rockshox Pike.

Pros
  • . Interlock spacer compatible.
Cons
  • . Unnecessary functions.

Fits and works perfectly!

This is a head tube that allows you to convert your bike into a 1 1/8 tapered fork. This creates significantly more rigidity and opens up options for modern forks. With this headset, you'll likely need to trim it to fit the bottom bearings flush. Don't let that cut deter you from buying one, as this is a phenomenal upgrade for your bike. There is a notch on the bottom insert which when followed by a dremel or hacksaw removes 3mm and leaves 5mm. Normal seat depth of the head tube bearing. In my…

Pros
  • 6061 T-6 Aluminum Internal Lightweight for weight reduction
Cons
  • poorly designed
