Type of review

Even though I took the picture in the pouring rain and there isn't a single speck of dust on it, my copy is in perfect condition despite its age of five years. Recently, I upgraded to a Canon 6D from a Canon 60D, and ever since then, I haven't had nearly as many issues with the aperture ratio (FF = FF). Be sure you shoot in the RAF in parallel if you are going to use a responsible frame. You won't get ringing sharpness from the fifty dollars 1,4, but with the 24-105, even in manual mode and in…

Pros
  • Cutting, affordability, versatility, and stabilizer, and if it's not extremely dark, fantastic speed with nearly no crashes. It works really well for video.
Cons
  • The trunk has leaves, which is bad, but this is not an essential feature; on the crop, it is a touch dark, but this is also not an essential feature.

A great option for this money, I definitely recommend it!

Everyone who frequently travels but despises lugging around heavy bags of gear, whether as an advanced amateur or professional, needs this lens. My friend has repeatedly pushed me to bring only with a fixed focus; these cameras provide superior sharpness. However, I am not willing to risk losing multiple lenses, which cost no more than fifty kopecks apiece, by dropping them in the river during our river excursion. plus patches are for the studio, not me (at least not right now).

Pros
  • Cost, adaptability, and superiority. Dimensions matter. fits into the tiniest waterproof and shockproof container I could find at the store last week
Cons
  • not present in this class. After reading the comments in other reviews, I quickly tested "lathers at 4" and found that it does not lather. I then checked whether or not it "loses sharpness at the edges" when I removed the grid, and found that it did not. Nothing seems to be wrong with the "stabilizer" at the moment. I'm afraid it will break as my sigma 18-200 did.

A good product, more pros than cons.

Some pros: Design, the most requested range of focal lengths (for me, and for most). Cons: Indoors, without a flash, it is very difficult to shoot (there is a lack of aperture).

Quite a decent lens. As a replacement for a staff member, it is very worthy. Was earlier 18-135 Canon. 24-105 heaven and earth, much better. Sharpness is on the level, but here it often depends on the photographer. You can achieve very high quality and interesting bokeh (50-70 mm focal length), but you need to experiment like with all lenses. I like him. Its pros: Constant aperture, comnstructive, bokeh (at some focal lengths) (see, for example, ), fast autofocus. Has cons: Aperture is…

The best price for such a product, I will buy more!

I think that he covers 90% of the needs of an "amateur photographer" and copes with it by 5 points. The remaining 10 percent of the "fixes" that require aperture and sharpness are ready to leave to professionals (leave for now) .

A great option for this money, one of the best offers.

I chose among many lenses, I came to thecomnclusion that it is better to take a separate camera (without a whale lens), and a separate lens. I chose this lens because of its versatility, i. E. you can shoot landscapes, portraits, macro photography. Autofocus speed is impressive, excellent stabilizer. Photos can be viewed here

Pros
  • Most requested zoom range, instant autofocus
Cons
  • a little heavy

I am delighted, the product is really worthy.

We can’t replace weddings in the reportage part, about artistry I can say that at focal length 105 at aperture 4 it gives quite good blur, sharpness at a high level, autofocus hits, but when shooting staged, I change it to fixed (135 or 50). Another nuance, I also use it in the studio, since the aperture ratio is not important there, but changing the focal length quickly does not hurt. In general, the glass justifies its price, so as not to be said, but I recommend it as a staff member for ff…

Pros
  • Good, wedding worker
Cons
  • Not a fix

The quality is at the level, I am satisfied with everything.

A good standard lens that is perfect for "always at hand" situations. After reading a lot of reviews about a bad picture, I can say this: I have a canon ef 70-200mm f2.8 ISII USM zoom in my arsenal (I use it as a staff member), only the most interesting pictures I took were taken at 24-105 because it is universal and I take it on a business trip. Proper post-processing in RAW equalizes the quality of the 24-105 image with the rest of its brothers. Here are examples of my shots at 24-105mm

Pros
  • Sharp throughout the frame. Fully justifies the money spent. Lightweight, compact. An ideal set of focal lengths that covers almost all reporting needs. Excellent stabilizer. Appointment - very suitable for travel photographers and travelers because of its low price, as well as compactness. Feature - this lens takes excellent pictures at an open aperture and therefore it makes no sense to refer to poor picture quality, lack of bokeh. Well assembled, 5 points, nothing creaks.
Cons
  • The trunk leaves, the room is dark. aperture only 4

I do not cease to rejoice at the purchase, a very good deal!

What can I say. A good lens that should undoubtedly be like a workhorse. In view of its compactness and inconspicuousness (black color), it is a pleasure to use it in the city. Good thing, nothing more to say. I said all of the above a few years ago when I wrote my first review on this lens. Years later, the situation has not changed. Rent or buy - it doesn't matter. In any case, it works great. By the way, I took from the "scattered" kit. It costs much less, but it doesn’t affect the…

Pros
  • I have been photographing with lenses for many years. At first I rented it, and this year I bought it for personal use, because I realized that Icomuldn’t do without it. Now everything is in order. Good picture quality. And this can be seen even in the posted photos. It's clearly worth the money. Sharp. Not so heavy. A good set of focal lengths thatcomvers almost all reporting needs.Copes with any task. In Venice, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the shooting of the city. Easy transition from autofocus to manual mode. A stabilizer, which is important with a fairly "dark"comnstruct. In a word, a solid lens. Sample photos can be viewed here
Cons
  • The trunk comes out. But the truth doesn't speak. By and large, he has no shortcomings.

Focus stable does not work

I bought it three years ago and found the images soft, but never tested it until now. With the 5D Mk IV on a tripod, I zoomed out the lens and made sure the range was large enough to have a shallow depth of field so I could look for front or back focus issues (which I expected). With the Spyder LensCal target I could clearly see that most of the time it just didn't focus very well. In Live View mode, which uses a very different focusing technique, image sharpness is almost on par with the Canon

Pros
  • High-performance standard 1:4L zoom lens with a wide angle of view from wide-angle to medium-telephoto.
Cons
  • I really don't like it, everything is fine

Like many others, I was hoping that Canon .

Like many others, I was hoping that Canon would make a replacement version for the original 24-105 for a while. Having owned this lens and used it on lower resolution cameras for many years I found it to be a good all round event lens and I really liked the focal range. It wasn't as sharp as my 24-70 2.8 II, but I really enjoyed getting the extra focus on the long end and IS. A new lens (this item) arrived last week and I was shooting with it on my 5D MkIV and wanted to test the IS capabilities

Pros
  • A completely new optical design with significantly improved edge brightness.
Cons
  • Speed

Three things are different than I expected - mostly good.

I read technical reviews and knew what to expect in terms of sharpness and performance. I will only report three things that differ slightly from my expectations. The lock button only locks the zoom in the retracted position. It does not block the zoom in any position. Aside from the lens hood, one of my biggest disappointments with the 24-105mm version I was that the zoom would slip when aiming at the subject. Canon tightened my old lens for me, but it still wasn't as tight as I'd like it to…

Pros
  • Image Stabilization performance with up to 4 stops Anti-shake* helps you capture sharp images. Lens construction: 17 elements in 12 groups
Cons
  • There are disadvantages
