Great for rehearsals

These shoes are very comfortable and great for dancing on a wooden floor (not so comfortable on a ceramic floor). I recommend it for rehearsals and not necessarily for performances as the skin peels off easily in some areas.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Can't remember

Improved performance

My tango teacher has been complimenting me since I started wearing these shoes in class. I have a small foot and I usually wear a size 5 and they fit snugly. Reviews from others warned me against it. They sit higher on my foot than my other training shoes, giving me a little more support.

Pros
  • Best in class
Cons
  • Protection

Shoes VERY small

I prefer size 8 shoes although size 7 fits me fine. I thought I would be good at buying M 8-9. The shoes don't fit at all! Of course I wanted a size bigger. I contacted Discount Dance Supply and told them about my situation. They wanted me to send them back at my price and order a different size again, again with shipping costs. I sold the shoes to a fellow dancer and the company is complete. Note that the shoes run VERY small.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Obsolete model

The way is small. the best in athletics

On the advice of others, I ordered a size larger. I wear street shoes in sizes 6 to 6.5, I have a medium size (8-9). They squeeze/compress my toes completely and were painful to wear. I had to take them off after 15 minutes. You might stretch, but I can't dance with aching feet. Pointe up is also a bad design for dances that involve floorwork where the top of the foot may touch the floor. I'll go to the local dance store where I can try on some dance shoes and just buy what I like instead of…

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Almost everything is ok

Great shoes! It's sad to see this coming.

I've seen a lot of reviews saying this shoe wears out too quickly, but I really liked it and am so sad that Capezio seems to have discontinued it. Yes, the outsole wears out quicker than traditional ballerinas, but it looks great. Additionally, although they run small, they are probably the most appropriate ballet/multidiscipline shoes you will ever find if you can find your size, and will make your feet feel stable and secure, which is especially important for that Balance is when you have…

Doesn't stand up to regular dance use

We are a small dance group that practices 5-8 hours a week in a studio with a wooden dance floor. We bought these shoes to use for training and performances. After about 20 hours of dancing, the shoes began to fall apart at the seams and the pads began to separate from the bottom. The product was highly praised and we took the opportunity to purchase it for $50 a pair. We are not satisfied with the quality of the shoes we paid a lot of money for. The shoes were comfortable and we would have…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Wow for a trendy look

This is a great looking shoe with lots of custom fit options. Unfortunately, it still needs an extra strap to fit properly, but it might fit you perfectly. The heel is a bit loose so it slips off although my heel is not narrow. However, it looks great and reminds me of a pair of suede, crepe-soled basketball shoes that were the most comfortable shoes Bass ever made (actually, years ago he wasn't known for producing very unusual designs). The brown hue is really flattering and the overall…

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Unreliable

Nice design, ridiculously small

I read the reviews on these shoes before I bought them and most said they ran very small and suggested going up 1-2 sizes, which I did did. I usually wear a US 8.5 or 9 (8.5 for Puma and Chuck Taylor and 9 for Nike and Adidas to be more precise) so I ordered Large which Capezio says is 10-11. However, these shoes are still too small for me. The elastics at the top accommodate the width of my foot well (I have a slightly wide foot), but they are about an inch shorter and pinch my toes painfully.

Pros
  • Sturdy build
Cons
  • Damaged
