The filter holder (sleeve) is poorly designed. You can switch between one cup and two cup inserts, but the holder's fit is very loose. If you insert it into the notch and turn it 90 degrees, it will rotate back towards the notch due to friction from turning on the espresso machine. If you try to tap on it to get the old bases out, the filter holder will either fall out completely (because it screws itself up to the notch) or get stuck.
