A simple machine with good results.

I've never had a burr grinder. However, this is my humble opinion. I like this meat grinder, it works very well. It grinds my Bialetti well enough and certainly well enough for my French Press. I would definitely recommend this product to other consumers.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • For old

They're still great grinders

I bought my first Capresso grinder 30 years ago and fired it because the motor was no longer grinding a full batch of beans. My new Capresso produces the same coarse grind that I need. daily for my percolator and french press. It's easy to use and easier to clean than the old one I posted.

We love this conical coffee grinder!

This is now our second espresso grinder. Our first was the 560.1, black with a plastic body. We lost it in a wildfire, but before that it worked fine. This time we bought the 575.05 model which is a cast stainless steel version. This model performs just as well as the 560 but is much quieter. The grind adjustment is much more noticeable on the 575 Hopper than on the 560. Being metal it is heavier than the 560. Overall we really like this model. And yes, we would buy it again.

Acceptably quiet, very fast, good grind

My challenge was to find a good quality grinder that wasn't too noisy for other people in the house. After a long search I decided on Capresso. The device is very robust and well made. The grind range approaches the fine grind, so if you're looking for a coarse grind, this may not be the grinder for you. As for the noise, I measured it at 80 dB next to the coffee grinder and reduced it to 70 dB in the next room. It's about as loud as a paper shredder and quieter than most blenders. Another…

It used to be great.

I did a lot of research before buying a new burr grinder after deciding it was time to upgrade the Cuisinart I've had for over 10 years (with no problems). So I bought Virtuoso Baratz. It died in less than 3 weeks if only used once a day. In addition, I was not satisfied with the scaling of the coffee grinder. It's measured in time, not cups. So he went back to the drawing board. I waited 3 months before posting a review on the Capresso, mainly because I wanted to make sure it didn't die on me…

It's so quiet here! for electric coffee grinders

I am very sensitive to noise and although I was drawn to this one because others said it was quiet I didn't believe it but was hoping it was an improvement over our previous grinder would be . It's really quiet! It's not totally quiet or anything, but it's a significant step in the right direction. We mainly brew for French Press and use 2nd coarseness. I really wish it had more range on the rough end as we almost never worry about a noisy espresso machine again. I don't think it makes a huge…

This is a fantastic entry level grinder

This is not a 5 star grinder as coffee experts say it is not the best grinder for very fine coffee. It would be crazy to expect this at this price point. However, this is a fantastic grinder with ridges for drip, pour over, cold brew and pressed coffee - almost anything but espresso and Turkish coffee. grind so you can choose the perfect cup of coffee in the morning. I am very happy with this machine and am planning to buy another one as a gift for family members. The two downsides to this…
