Enhanced Safety with Cardinal Gates Extra Tall Premium Pressure Gate Review

Don't waste your money. I ordered two, both broke the same day and didn't stand for anything. You have to lift to release the bottom latch, on the other side (from the gate below) is a brittle piece of plastic which broke on both of us rendering it unusable. If you pull a little too far everything will fall apart and you'll have to start over if it doesn't break completely. It turned out $130 :(

An absolute must have when trying to turn living beings on or off. My dog figured out how to jump over the little baby gates we had so I bought this one instead. He's securely anchored to the ledges with just one stick and he's very frustrated that he can't handle it. The lack of crossbars means he can't get the lever to climb over it, and since it's fixed in mounting cups, he can't push it either. Great buy and actually cheaper than most places I've looked for.

This goal saves lives. It fits perfectly as described, big enough for my bull terrier not to jump over it and has an affordable extension to fit our wide ladder. I installed it in 15 minutes and it works with railing adapters on top and regular compression props on the bottom. My kids can use it with no problem and the dogs have been beaten. Good tall gate (runaways no longer climb over wall), latches well and is secure so does not open when pushed. However, my main problem with this is that there is no "stay up" point here like there is with my other goals. As soon as you release it, it will strike with quite a bit of force. This is a problem with my little puppies in our puppy country. I'm worried that one of them might slip through my legs and slam the gate shut. And I have to hang a bungee cord so I can open it if I have to get

If I could I would give this review 10 stars! I've bought many, many goals and unfortunately most of them have disappointed me. I have giant dogs and dogs under 5 pounds. The last gate I had, my smallest dogs could squeeze right through the bars, especially the curved outer bars. This one doesn't have them and the gaps are narrow enough that none of my dogs can get through. Another problem I encountered is the small doors in many gates. I really like this gate. It's reliable and easy to use. It opens in every direction and doesn't stand open, allowing it to be moved back and forth comfortably without having to work to close it behind you. It's a bit more complex than I want to open. You really need a free hand, and I often hold things with both hands. But it is constructed in such a way that dogs and children cannot climb over it.
