Description of πŸ”§ Cardone 207271 Rebuilt Power Steering Pump

As a remanufactured Original Equipment part, this unit guarantees a perfect vehicle fit. All critical components (cam packs, spool valves, etc.) are triple-tested to ensure product reliability; Units are supplied with 100% tested and calibrated pressure relief valves. All units are built with 100% new O-rings and premium-grade HNBR seals to prevent leaks; HNBR does not break down at high temperatures like conventional seal material. Shafts are surfaced to precise specifications to eliminate premature seal wear and extend pump life; Final pump assembly is computer-tested to measure pressure, bypass, fluid flow, valve operation, steering effort and noise to ensure reliable performance. Our remanufacturing process is earth-friendly, as it reduces the energy and raw material needed to make a new part by 80%.

Unfortunately, this pump squeaked louder than the one I had.

Unfortunately, this pump squeaked louder than the one I replaced. I decided to just buy another pump from my local auto parts store with a lifetime warranty for the same price.

Pros
  • As a remanufactured original equipment part, this assembly guarantees a perfect fit in the vehicle.
Cons
  • Good, but not great

Bought for 1998 Ford Ranger V6 4.0 Replaced.

Purchased for Ford Ranger V6 4.0 1998. Replaced old pump due to bearing noise. The new pump makes the same noise, just a little quieter.

Pros
  • All blocks are manufactured with 100% new O-rings and high quality HNBR gaskets to prevent leaks; HNBR does not degrade at high temperatures like regular gasket material
Cons
  • Not all will fit

Loud as hell 2000 Ranger 3.0

Bought for my Ranger, a total hassle to install. The quality looked good, but that's about it. During installation, the painted parts came into contact with steering fluid from the line and smeared immediately. Nothing wrong with that, but why paint. The big problem is that it works fine but is just as noisy as the one I replaced! The original leaked, but this one didn't, so it helps at least a little, but the noise is ridiculous! And there is now no way to take it all apart to replace it!

Pros
  • A remanufactured Original Equipment part, this unit ensures the car fits perfectly
Cons
  • Fits
