No connection for car video

Does not work with iPhone 8 Plus when connected to 2010 Honda Accord LXP via 10.1 inch Android touchscreen shipped from China (I guess I should have expected that), but no pairing occurs. Writes incompatible and not available

Hell of installation and long lifespan

You need a phone to install software from malware infected website it links to. It takes a while to switch to Carplay mode and often shows that it couldn't connect.

This plug and play does not charge but drains your phone's battery.

Plug and play works well but drains my phone's battery instead of charging it. Not suitable for long runs. If you want to charge your phone and use Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, this product will not work.

Doesn't fit factory radio

If you have factory radio with version 4.4.2 and need to download the apk first, your car radio needs to be locked and on this new car you do everything through the head unit. You should not jailbreak for your safety. Because people can break into your car so I can't use it.

Works as described in 16 Pilot

I was looking to add Apple CarPlay to my 16 Pilot (17+) and wanted to try this solution before finding 17 radio. It works as described. As long as you download the apk first, it will work. Audio output works via Bluetooth, so make sure you connect to your car's Bluetooth too. Happy

Works well but not with current software

At first it seemed to work fine when just using CarPlay but I soon found that when I went back and tried using my radio app it kept coming back crashed and you couldn't play the radio in the background while using CarPlay. The solution was to download the 2019 software that I found on another website. Once I did this the radio wouldn't turn off and would play in the background when using Google Maps in CarPlay.
