Caron Cakes Self Striping Yarn BUTTERCREAM Review

My daughter chose this colour. In the beginning it was me, as you are sure! Well she added purple and it's so pretty! It's all bright colors with no purple because it's a different brand. We wanted you to see each color individually. I would like to add that this is a very warm yarn! Sitting here at night with a blanket over my legs keeps me warm!

The colors of this particular yarn are very beautiful. I didn't expect to find knots in the thread as if it had been joined. This makes it difficult to create a smooth stitch when these knots cause lumps and bumps as you crochet. I've never had this problem with self-winding twine. Not sure if it was just a bad batch or something. Glad the delivery was fast, the item was in like-new condition. The yarn itself is a very nice color combination, I like it very much. I just hate knots on threads…

I was very disappointed in the Caron Cakes I bought from Revain. The store's Caron cakes are remarkably soft, with few knots and no variation in color. The ones I bought from Revain were itchy and rough with severe discoloration, no consistent color changes and lots of lumps. It is clear that seconds. I am so disappointed. A ball of Caron Cakes Rainbow Sherbet I ordered to complete my project arrived with no label on it or even in the box - just a ball of yarn. The threads of yarn had colored streaks (crimson stripes on teal threads, etc.) over most of the ball of yarn. It's very noticeable. I don't mind the looks, but the rest of my project doesn't (every solid color is solid, no stripes - just a few blemishes now and then).
