I had never seen such a large magnifying glass before, so I was shocked by its size. I didn't read the size in the description, but it's actually meant to be viewed at a small or flat specimen that fits in the bottom section under a magnifying glass. The picture is very clear, the light is bright and beautiful. This is ideal for summer insects. If you have an object that is (approximately) larger than the diameter of the glass, you may find it difficult to see certain areas as this magnifier…

great for stamp collectors

> really good weight and balance although it may be a little light due to the plastic visible in the photos it is a beautifully constructed instrument > the lighting is even and consistent, no shading > size checking is very convenient for displaying marks> 3-level adjustable backlight is very convenient. Ideal for construction drawings.

I'm an engineer. Architects sometimes think the more words they can squeeze into a drawing, the better. So draw those tiny letters on the drawings that will eclipse the small print on medicine packages. It is extremely efficient to read this tiny font. Especially if they were tiny e-sheets spread out on 11x17 paper. If there is a lot of light, it is better to use another magnifying glass without lighting. This tends to distort the image too much around the edges, but if you're 100 feet…

For best results, the distance from the eye to the loupe is important.

Based on a 65mm or 2.5" lens with a non-adjustable factory focus setting, it is designed primarily for reading small print rather than as a magnifying glass to be used close to the eye . Best focusing is achieved when the base of the loupe is pointed toward the object being examined and the eye is about 10 inches or so higher than the top lens, so it's used more like a magnifying glass than a loupe. Attempting to use the eye close to the lens will result in objects being out of focus, and focus
