Description of Carter M6624 Mechanical Fuel Pump

Built to meet or exceed OEM fit and reliability and 100% factory tested and approved. Ideal for vehicles with low pump pressure between 4 to 6 PSI. Less susceptible to contaminates because its located outside the fuel tank. In-Line pumps are driven by the camshaft, which effectively transfers fuel from the tank to the carburetor.

Replacement Parts Fuel Leak

Fuel pump installed to specification and after a month of driving, fuel is leaking from the top of the fuel pump and pooling on the o-ring where cast aluminum meets stamped steel
