I have purchased ratchet straps from several stores around town and have not liked any of my options. It seems everyone wants to overpay for weak straps. I found these Cartman straps and am very happy. The steel is thicker, the movement is smoother, and the straps are soft yet strong. I would have preferred the hooks to face away from the ratchet but that should be fine.

I rate them 5 stars. They are very well made and the stitching on the shoulder straps is by far the best I've seen. The "J" hooks are too short for my liking, but I knew it was a "scam" based on another review before I bought them. I replaced the hooks with 3/8" stainless steel carabiners to eliminate the possibility of them detaching from the attachment points on the back of my truck. The ratchet handles are equipped with soft pads and the mechanism works very smoothly.

I'm usually too busy to write reviews but as I was so pleased with the functionality and quality of these winches I have to post this and I'm more than pleased. Thanks to the people who designed this guy, he's perfect. I wouldn't change anything about that. Easy to use and easy to clean. I don't think these guys will ever get stuck or have any problems. I will probably never have to buy more of these forever.

It may not be important for every application, but the part of the belt that the crank attaches to, the hook is farther back than all other typical ratchet straps and sometimes it's really painful things to do Pulling trailers etc, since trailers are designed for outside hooked straps, when using, the grip is on what you are tying, so you cannot tighten the grip. Bought for size and price. Get what you pay for I think.

Sold new but got a few used. I ordered a 4 pack (orange 1.5") and the product was new and undamaged. The orange worked perfectly. I later ordered a 6 pack (blue 1.5") and received several new ones, a few used (scratches on blue belts) and 1 was definitely used (scratches, rust marks and grease). Great mounts at a great price. I love that these zip ties have 1.5 inch straps (for added strength) and "double" rubber coated steel J hooks on each end. They appear to be much stronger than the other, thinner S hooks and 1" straps on other typical big box mounts. I bought this to tie my motorcycle to a trailer. The hooks at the end are almost useless. A hook slipped off the anchor ring when I gave the straps a vigorous shake to make sure they were tight. Another came about 2 miles from my house. The ratchet works well, the straps are strong, but the hooks, while strong, are not curved enough to provide a secure hold. The item I purchased was a Cartman 1.5" x 15' 3000lb Padded Ratchet Tie Down Strap (Qty. 4). This is a 1.5 wide nylon webbing in. and 15' long. Nylon is 1.5" wide but not very thick. I have these because I don't need smaller 1" ties and 2" ribbons. They seem a bit smaller than I thought but the construction is good, the ratchet works easily and having a zip tie pocket was a nice touch.
