    bought another brand that was cheaper and returned it for the EZ cap

    I make my own kombucha and love making a second fermentation for sparkling wine. I used the EZ cap at first but after sharing kombucha with friends (and a few bottles that didn't come back) I needed more bottles. I decided to save some money on another brand but some of the bottles were broken upon arrival, difficult to open and close and the caps didn't fit properly so I had to return them and buy more bottles with EZ caps.     Our first order of this type of bottles came from another company on Amazon and the 6 bottles and caps are great and the caps come off very easily you could do it with a Hand. We needed more and saw these bottles from this company in a pack of 12 so we went for them. Bad idea. The bottles are good but the caps are terrible.     I bought these bottles for my ginger beer. I've been cooking the same recipe for over 30 years, so I know it and its properties well. So far I've had 3 bottles explode and shatter before the caps broke. That tells me the bail tops are too strong. I'd rather lose 3 bottles of ginger beer than fly all over the place.
