Works great so far. I've used it for a couple of 3 hour astrophotography sessions. It fits perfectly with my Canon EOS Rebel T3i. So far no overheating and no problems. For the price, a very good alternative to changing batteries in the middle of a session. Thanks very much!

No fuss, no fuss, no madness. Literally plugged into my Canon T4i, then plugged into a phone charger and/or USB hub and it still worked. Cheap and works. Perfect. I just set my T4i to stay on and I can leave it in live view for literally hours.

Works great in my Rebel T3i. I uploaded a video about it. Runs perfectly from my computer's USB port, no buzzing when writing and flash charging - it's the same as a regular battery! I recommend this to anyone trying to do long exposures etc. I personally managed to use my camera as a webcam!

UPDATE: I'm an idiot. The thing works fine. I originally thought it was "dead on arrival" but found that my camera (Canon t3i) would not turn on when the battery cover was open. Especially for this there is a channel for the wire. If you think yours isn't working, MAKE SURE YOU HAVE CLOSED THE BATTERY DOOR! Works great.

It now allows me to take photos of clouds and stars, as well as taking normal photos and changing the battery for a long time. I use one of those high capacity cell phone batteries. I shoot almost two days without reloading. It doesn't seem like much just reading the words, but I take a lot of photos in time-lapse mode with one-second to one-second intervals. and sometimes repeated rapid bursts of 5-10 frames in just a few seconds.

I used this dummy battery on my Canon T2i which I use as a webcam for my classes. Although it needs what the power supply requires (2.1A/5V plug), it turns off after only a few minutes and sometimes doesn't turn on at all after turning the camera on and off. I bought this to have my Canon DSLR permanently on my desk as a high quality webcam for video recording and video calling at work.
