Cannot set up

It is very heavy and bulky. Snapping impossible. There is only one eyepiece, very expensive for this huge telescope. You can watch the moon. it's nothing but advertising. They should sell this for a maximum of $59. So disappointed as I had very high expectations. It's very heavy and bulky. The product description is the same for all Celestron telescopes that differ in weight and size. From this you can understand how enthusiastic they are about their products. This telescope is not light at…

Wasn't ready after install or out of the box.

Not yet used. He sits and collects dust. Part is broken, which wasn't very important, but you can't see anything through it. Constantly blurry no matter what we do. Went out twice, can't really see anything. I played around with it for an hour each time. I know we don't have much experience but thought we could easily review it once it's set up and then learn how to use the extra items. I'm sure if we took it upon ourselves and went step by step again or put it on YouTube or whatever we would…

  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Maybe I'm using it wrong, maybe I've been ripped off.

I'm not the most experienced person when it comes to telescopes, but I have this to help me learn. I tried to see Jupiter and Saturn but couldn't find them after 20-30 minutes of searching (this is because I mistyped the finderscope). In the end I came across Saturn quite by accident. After zooming to the maximum all I could see was a white, very blurry oval too small to make out. i want to return it The best I could do was zoom in on the moon and even that got blurry if I zoomed in too far…

incredible view of the moon!

I'm a total newbie, I waited 3 nights for clear skies and finally got a chance to use it. The moon was so easy to find, I used the finder scope to locate the moon first, I don't know if I got the finder set right, it was a bit off target but it wasn't a mistake. Very good, it took me less than 5 minutes to find the moon in the scope. I was able to see a lot of lunar detail, even better than the photos I've seen in other reviews, and I only used the 20mm eyepiece and 3X lens (included). Then I…

Great look out of the box! Good solid equatorial mount.

This is a rating specifically for the Celestron PS 114mm EQ. My daughter gave it to me. After using it for a couple of nights, I checked the mirror alignment with a $28 Celestron 1.25" collimating eyepiece (which I already had). The alignment of the mirror was very tight, requiring only a minimal adjustment that had no noticeable effect. On the third night I could see the moon (again) and the Orion Nebula at different magnifications (20mm eyepiece with and without Barlow) I could also - with…
