Good price for what it does

I bought this for a dorm size fridge with a small freezer compartment. After defrosting, the fridge wanted to run non-stop and freeze everything. This device is easy to use. The refrigerator is connected to the block. The device is connected to an electrical outlet. The temperature sensor is included in the refrigerator. I have no idea of the accuracy. This unit only controls temperatures up to 40 degrees Fahrenheit, which is too warm to control a freezer. The fridge in the hostel is cooled…

Works like a charm for home brewing

Bought to brew lager in an old fridge at a consistently low temp and so far so good. Yeast loves 56 degrees, so I set the unit to 55 - with a 2 degree tolerance, it turns on at 57 degrees and off after cooling to 55 degrees. Using a second digital thermometer, I checked the accuracy of the readings to within 0.2 degrees. I then attached the probe to the side of the brew bucket with bubble wrap to isolate it from the surrounding air. not adjustable - the manual says it's not recommended for use…

The second works at least

We are sorry, the last update was never performed, please try again. 10/10/2020: The second one also blew up, I was within recommended electrical performance specs. The company gave a full refund, I would consider/recommend buying again, they stand by their product. I'm still disappointed with the performance, CS gets 5 stars but that's the product, it worked well for a short time. I don't have a timer for my daughters. An amazing mini air conditioner that is simple and cools the room like an…

Do you need temperature control in your cheese cellar for maturing?

I recently made my first batch of hard cheeses and converted a wine cooler into a cheese cellar to properly age the cheese. A wine cooler itself does not heat up above 46 degrees inside, which is too cool for cheese to mature. I've tried this with the cooler on and off with frozen water bottles to keep the temp warmer than a wine cooler could give me. The frozen water bottles were too much work as they had to be put down constantly and it was too cold for the cooler when the power was on. I…

Cons
  • Not as thick as other attachments

Good product but limitations need to be understood

I am a home brewer and I bought two controllers to control two chest freezers. Both chest freezers are small (3.6ft3 and 5.0ft3) and have low operating currents (1.7A and 2.1A respectively). I bought my first controller 3 years ago for a 5.0ft3 chest freezer and it worked great. I bought a second controller for a 3.6ft 3 freezer 3 months ago and it only lasted a month before failing. BN-Link's customer support is excellent (one of the reasons for the 4 stars) which is why I received a refund…

Great Product at a Great Price

the thing works great. Just plug it in, press and hold the "up" button for 3 seconds to display the Fahrenheit scale. Press and hold the "Down" button for 3 seconds. If you want a Celsius scale, press and hold the yellow button for 3 seconds to adjust the time up or down. Press the yellow button again and the sensor will be placed where you want to set the temperature. I drilled a hole in the side of my solar panel. This device is not waterproof. So if you use it outdoors like I did, make sure…
