Disappointing Performance of Drill Bit

As a result of my tests, I determined that this industrial drill bit falls short in terms of durability and precision. While the price may be attractive, it ultimately does not provide value for money. The only positive aspect is its compatibility with a range of drilling machines. However, the cons outweigh the one pro. I was left with ragged holes and uneven drilling due to the bit's inability to maintain sharpness. Pros
  • The Century Drill Tool 88230 is a long drill bit that is suitable for deep drilling applications.
Cons
  • The length of the drill bit makes it less rigid, which can cause it to bend or break easily when used improperly.

As I promised.

Has three flat sides to allow for heavy drilling, stiffer than the hex shanks of Sears' butt butt. (Which fall apart under load.) Things as promised.

Pros
  • 135-Degree Quick-Cut Point No center punch, no walking or catching
Cons
  • New competitors appeared

Drilled 500 good and clean holes in pine.

So far I've drilled 300 holes 1.75" deep. The material was pine. Cuts like butter. It's still strong and shows no signs of dulling *update* I drilled 500 holes with this boy before he went dull I will be buying another one.

Pros
  • Designed for general use in wood, plastic, plaster and soft metal
Cons
  • Slightly torn
