. I BOUGHT MY SECOND LAST WEEK FOR ANOTHER BIKE CONVERSION. EXCELLENT NARROW/WIDE CHAIN. MY CHAINS WON'T FALL OFF THE CHAINS NOW. BUY IT.

I installed this on my bike last night and found it wobbled and the chain tensioner was off. I took it off the handle and put it on a table and found that it was bent and not quite flat/flush. It was straight out of the box. 1 star rating because getting a bent chainring is just pretty bad.

The workmanship and finish is excellent. But the inside edges of the bolt flanges are too small which doesn't allow me to install them on my grip. The edges of the crank have an outside diameter of 90mm and the flanges of this ring have an inside diameter of 88mm (radial oversize 1mm). My Shimano XT Hollowtech crankset with splined (ISIS?) BB interface.

Great sprocket. Only time will tell the durability. 4 stars now for a good star for 1x8 conversion. One star off because I had to sharpen the sprocket where it meets my grip. I took it off a bit at each bolt hole to make it work. I also use original Sunstar cranks. A good product. I just wish it would fit right away.

I'm not very happy with this sprocket and a few others I've bought in a similar price range. I'm a certified private mechanic and I revise every week. This chain does not match the 5 cranks I saw. Nothing out of the ordinary - there were a couple of Shimano, SLX and XT cranks, previous generation SRAM X0 and X4 and just plain SRAM. I had to trim off those little edges sticking out inside to make it fit. Other than that, when it's on, it works great. Also - I don't know why, but I've been buying

Purchased to convert a triple crank into a 1x. The supplied chainring bolts are too short for the thickness of the spider and don't offer a proper hold. Do not use the supplied sprocket bolts when converting a 3x or 2x crankset to 1x! Use original sprocket bolts. The star itself looks very nice - well made and surprisingly sturdy. I haven't weighed it or cared about the weight since I bought this 38T to turn a 700c hybrid into a 1x bike. My biggest complaint is that the graphics are overdone…

I installed this on my rebuilt Raleigh e-bike and it works fine. Maybe too good. I'm actually worried that this chainring will generate too much torque. I had to use two spacers between the motor and sprocket because the bolts rubbed on the motor case, but the pinion itself cleans the case with no problem. I also used a chain tensioner because the chain line has zero offset. I got the 38t to replace the stock 46t chainring that the Bafang came with and it has turned my e-bike into a climbing…

I upgraded 3x9 to 1x10. My front crank is a Truvativ Power Spline. I bought a JG Bike groupset kit with a Shimano M6000 SGS front derailleur and a Shadow Plus clutch.
