life change? May be.

Very well made and very light latex tube. Be sure to watch the latex tubing installation video as there are some things you can do with standard butyl tubing that you can't do without. Their use significantly improves the ride quality. Makes clincher tires tubeless.

Pros
  • Practical article
Cons
  • Crumpled

Defective tube out of the box

I bought this handset in June 2021. Today, September 13, I had an apartment and had to use the subway. When I inflated the tube to fit the tire, a bubble appeared because the new tube has a weak point. The last return day was July 15th. I buy tubes to have on hand when I get an apartment. Based on their returns I would never recommend buying from this seller.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • The list is long.

rolling resistance. only 55 grams

fit with extra care start with one bead of the tire... 2. inflate the tube to about 2psi... 3. insert the tube... 4. insert the second bead seeing a... pink means you're done. 6. Pump . Don't worry if the tube on the outside of the tire inflates, it won't happen if it's tight. Aside from being very careful not to pinch your tire beads, they are just like other inner tubes.

Pros
  • sleek and modern design
Cons
  • thin

Easy but gentle inflation of the perforated tire

These cameras are so light in hand it's amazing. I have one in an Evo Corsa clincher that I've done a dozen critical points on with no punctures and hopefully benefited from the flexibility and lightness. The only problem with these tubes (probably any latex tube) is that the first one I inflated burst through a small hole in the tire. So elastic it came out through a small hole so be careful. Also, of course, difficult to repair. I still don't know how to do it. But look at my first two…

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Good but not great

Not worth the hassle or cost.

Wanted to try the extra elasticity of the latex tubing. Okay, they're malleable, but they're also extremely brittle. I'm a seasoned bike mechanic and I still broke one of these the first time I installed it. The ride improved little, if at all. They lose air quickly, up to 5% per hour, so they need topping up on every ride and may need topping up for all-day activities. IMO it's not worth the effort at all. I run Compass Ultralight tires and have switched to Schwalbe SV20 Ultralight tubes…

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Slightly torn

I'm sticking with Vittoria Latex.

Don't waste your money. If you are switching to latex tubing, order a different brand. I vented one of them and it exploded at only about 100psi. Another dented when I put less than 15 pounds of pressure on it to install it. I've seen a response to a complaint about this which indicated that bulges etc are standard on latex tubes and that's only because they aren't meant to be inflated until after installation so the tire will contain the bladder and the can eliminate bulges. Don't fall for…

Almost free speed for cycling

Almost all tire rolling resistance (CRR) tests I've checked on other websites have been tested with latex tubes. I've been riding my racing bike with "Mich" super-light inner tubes for a number of years. Now on my triathlon bike I decided to dive in and try them. The Challenge tubes are very flexible and both tubes I received weigh 65g each, 10g less rotational weight compared to the A1s I used. They're also lighter than the "V" varieties, which are slightly taller depending on where you find…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Updates

I've heard a lot about latex tubing, from its puncture resistance to its reduced rolling resistance, so I decided to give it a try. I used latex tubes on my mountain bike in the 90's and they were great. Unfortunately there was none. When I tried to mount the tubes, I noticed that they seemed too small. A butyl tube usually fits all the way around the tire, but these seem to be shorter so the tube doesn't fit all the way around the tire. I even double-checked that I was the right size - and I…

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Quick start guide
