Low price per bit for cobalt

Suitable for stainless steel drill bits. Whenever I cut holes in steel I use my #8-32 tap to standardize screw sizes and I use these drills to drill holes. Since there are 12 of these, I can break one and not worry. Very cheap price for the number of cobalt bits.

Pros
  • M42 cobalt HSS
Cons
  • Only available in black

Champion Drills

I really like these champion drills. I have several sizes of this brand and style and find it hard to beat them. They seem to be eternal. They are very fragile, but I mostly use a drill press. At least I break every time I use a hand drill when drilling into hard stuff. I am very happy with them and will continue to buy them.

Pros
  • For high strength materials such as high strength alloy steel, stainless steel, titanium, manganese steel, armor plate and inconel
Cons
  • Some errors

Really good quality, keep their shape and don't break.

These are pretty good quality drill bits. They keep their shape and don't flex at high speeds, allowing for very precise drilling. I actually use them to make custom PCBs to build a Zilog Z80 computer, which requires an incredibly high level of precision. They don't break very easily, but can bend easily. This might not even be an issue if you're not worried about extreme accuracy. Luckily for what I make, they're pretty affordable. So if you need to drill hundreds of holes in a plastic board…

  • Straight Shank Jobber Length
