Watch out for bits for power and hand tools

I'm a Channellock fan and have been using their tools for over 40 years. It looks good and feels good. But the only pieces that snap into place are the ones with the little BB on the side - I don't know what to call them, they're usually a few inches long and reversible. In addition, the sleeve is not magnetized. So if you try to use a regular 1/4" hex bit, screwdriver or head, it will fall out. Maybe I'm missing a solution, but other than that I think it severely limits versatility - you can…

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Slightly dented

Great tool, worth the extra price

I initially thought it was a bit pricey for a screwdriver but tried to place a same day Revain order to meet the bill. Well I loved it and I think the extra $$ was worth it. It has a solid build, a great ratchet, and a good head storage idea that also serves to hold the pressure while the rest of the body can rotate (handy when you need a lot of tightening/loosening pressure). Really reliable product which I now prefer to my other screwdrivers. This may include some famous names like Craftsmen,

Sweethome Picks Screwdrivers and Wrenches

Sweethome voted it their best ratcheting screwdriver and it's no wonder: from the ratcheting precision to the satisfying glide and click to reach bits, it's exceptional well made. My 7 year old son asked if he could have this when I am old and in a wheelchair and unable to use a screwdriver. The only thing I would like is a gear system that increases the rotation of the bit with each turn of the handle. I had this screwdriver for almost 30 years and eventually the gears started to fail. Would…

The perfect screwdriver for the home. Or maybe a business.

Ideal screwdriver for the home. It has a comfortable (no, massive) grip, good ratcheting mechanism, and a long, thin shaft for easy access compared to most ratchet screwdrivers. The carousel bit keeps everything tidy and handy, and as a bonus, the end of the carousel can be held in the palm of your hand like a precision screwdriver for threading and finger tightening. Nothing has made me doubt the durability of this screwdriver, but the Achilles' heel is in the form of a ratchet. I use mine…

Outstanding technique. Screwdrivers and wrenches

Excellent quality screwdrivers! I am a low voltage specialist and needed a quality but inexpensive screwdriver with "guard" bits for Axis cameras and control boxes. This driver was exactly what I was looking for, I've had it for a few months now and use it every day. Was thrown from 8ft with minimal scratches and most importantly no lost parts! The ratchet is smooth and feels great next to the $80 equivalent of my boss' rig. The only complaint I have is that to get the regular one I had to buy…

Best screwdriver I've ever had

This is the best screwdriver I've ever had. It replaces several of my Stanley screwdrivers, all of which had defects. It features longer bits that are easily accessible in the quick-change compartment. It's a slight improvement over those little bits that never show up when you want them to. The ratchet on it is much smoother and quieter and has twice as many teeth as most ratchet screwdrivers, reducing wear. It is also very ergonomic, has a great grip and is very comfortable to hold. It looks…

Get one of these.

I was looking for a similar tool after seeing a technician working on my bus. He used the snap-on version of this tool. I stared at her intently, not wanting to give up any body parts to pay for it. I stumbled across the Channellock version and made a purchase. It's been a few weeks and a lot of projects. I couldn't be happier. This is a well designed tool. I particularly like the ratchet mechanism with fine teeth. This really comes in handy for hard-to-reach screws with limited movement. you…

Excellent! in Screwdrivers & Wrenches

The quality of the Megapro/Channellock ratchet screwdrivers seems to have improved a lot compared to last year when I bought the 7 in 1 Compact and the 13 in 1 Automotive. They're good riders, but their waves are loose, shaky and rattling. The Channellock driver I received today does not rattle and the shaft has little movement. Direction selection (left, locked, right) is clearer and greatly improved. I am very happy with this Channellock screwdriver. I don't use Torx and Robertson bits so I…
