I like the metal case

I have 3 drive cases 1/4", 3/8" and 1/2". The 1/2 drive kit is a great product, I have multiple motors rebuilt with this tool kit, very strong, I had to use a pipe breaker to unscrew the center bolt on the BMW BMW N52 engine after the torque on all was below 100 Nm = 74 ft lbs plus a 360 degree angular torque so very strong 3/8 had a perfect extension, I just added other sets, the 1/4" drive set is universal, basically the only set I use, they are all long. I use an adapter. I only change the…

Revision: Where is 12mm? Unbelievable for me.

Revision - anyone want to explain why Channellock didn't include a 12mm in this set? This is so annoying because 12mm is very common. I had to buy a metric 1/4 drive set just because I managed to lose my master 1/4 drive set. I will no longer work on my 3/8 drive MTB. This is a fantastic set in many ways. The sockets and screwdriver are of a very high quality, but what is so often overlooked is the toolbox that houses them. It's a real tool box, preventing everything from falling to the ground…

Quality tool set with great case

As mentioned they are made in Taiwan but actually make some of the best tools including Tekton. It's way, way better than anything made in China. They are modern in design and it looks like Channelock (an American company) probably designed them and just outsourced them to a good factory in Taiwan. Their ratchet is precise, they're well polished and fitted, and the body is great. There's a lot of heft to this set, and at $38 I can't imagine you could do better. I'd like a Made in USA set, but…

Perfect size and professional storage box

Good Set, Analogue to the brand 'Master' from a well known chain store no longer made in USA. Steel body with heavy steel bolt. The quality is above average for the price. Little things that complicate the mechanics are avoided in this set, especially in the housing. This is not a latch in a blown design that will cause you to pry or fall out sockets with a screwdriver. The case keeps the sockets in order when shaken or closed, even upside down. The case is large and has holes at the bottom to…

Boss says to do

I would give 4 1/2 stars if I could. I would only buy made in America instruments if I had my way . Unfortunately, my wife keeps reminding me that we don't have a limitless tool budget. Heck haha. Done. These are very good tools. I won't even add "for money". They are just good tools. A very strong set. Nice chrome, great finish and the ratchet is silky smooth. I really appreciate a little knurling on each bushing and shank. This is a very heavy duty durable set. It even comes in a real metal…

Quality tool set with great carrying case

Claimed to be made in Taiwan but in fact some of the best tools are made here including Tekton. better than anything Chinese. They have a modern design and it looks like channelock (an american company) probably designed them and just outsourced them to a good factory in taiwan their ratchet is precise they are well polished and fit and the case is great this kit is heavy and at $38 I can't think of anything you can do better I wish there was a "Made in USA" set but without the craftsmen…

Pros
  • 1/4" 45 tooth quick release ratchet
Cons
  • New Competitors

Pretty good set, rock solid value for what you get, currently half the price of the corresponding Gearwrench set 80327 which is my personal favourite. There is no extension in this set, only 6 inch and 2 inch extension and no rotating extension; This set has a 3" and a 6" extension and the swivel works the same as the 1.5" extension. Both sets have swivel grips that act as an extra extension due to the 1/4 adapter on the end of the grip, which is nice, although the spinner grip in this set is…
