🔧 US-Made CHANNELLOCK 430X 10-inch SPEEDGRIP Tongue & Groove Pliers: Straight Jaw, Forged with High Carbon Steel Review

These guys were tired and one of the notches broke after one use. I thought they were like Knipex cobras but I was wrong, very disappointed in Canallock.

Design looks and feels cool. The locking mechanism works great. The only problem I have is the tangles on the head. They don't seem to grip and want to slide a lot, I was expecting excellent grip but they are still good.

These pliers are awesome! They hold up well and are easy to adjust. Recommended for anyone who needs a good pair. The only small issue I have is that the handle is awkward to grip. The indentation serves no purpose to me.

These pliers got stuck on first use when trying to use them in the smallest position. (I'm 94 and not that strong.) My son was able to open it by banging it on the floor. There should be a warning on the packaging! Otherwise they are well made.

I have some old 12" hex bolster channellocks so I wanted a 10" straight bolster channellock and saw this new design. My 12" wheels have always had trouble aligning their grooves so this looked like a solution. After getting used to pressing the button to adjust, this is definitely the solution to the problem. I really like the thickness of these pliers and the high quality silicone grips. Cross grooves cut at the top and bottom give the pliers a good grip and this 10 inch size can grip a variety of nut sizes well. The grip is much better than expected with this type of pliers. They open up to 2 inches fully open. The locking mechanism is the only thing I'm unsure about on these pliers. This review compares these pliers primarily to a pair of similar sized Knipex Cobras that I used prior to purchase. I have been using these pliers for several weeks for various purposes as a commercial electrician and to be clear this review is for the updated model with the gray metal knob. Media failed to load. This is my third review of this new range of Channellock Speedgrip pliers. This is for the 430X or 10 inch props. I posted a picture of this 430x model alongside the 428x model, which is called the 8 inch version. As you can see the grips are almost the same size, the 430x grips can be half an inch longer.
